Top 5 Wednesday: Fitness & Training Regimens

Hey there bookworms,
time flies and I'm back with another T5W post. This week's topic is Fitness and Training Regimens, so I'm gonna tell you five characters from books I'd like to know the training routines of - because let's face it, some characters are truly badass fighters and who hasn't dreamt of being just as skilled and athlectic?! T5W is a weekly book blogging meme hosted by the official goodreads group with Gabriela currently giving us new promps every month! So here are five of my favorite fighters, and it'd be certainly interesting to know their workout (and very embarrassing because I couldn't keep up)!

1. June Iparis from Legend

June is one of my favorite badass characters ever. In the first book, she's only 15, but already a highly trained military prodigy. She's extremely skilled in several fighting techniques, weapons and can also climb buildings very fast!

2. Octavia Blake from The 100
The 100 is best known as a tv show (my favorite show, go watch it if you haven't yet!), but there are also books, and Octavia is a character who appears in both the books and the show. She grows from an insecure girl to a super skilled and badass sword fighter and is definitely not a character you'd want to mess with! The pic shows season 1 vs season 5 Octavia so you can get a glimpse of her developent.

3. Clove from The Hunger Games
Clove is a character who is often overlooked, but I honestly think if Katniss and Peeta hadn't won the Hunger Games, she would have (or Cato, her district partner). Clove is a career tribute, so she trained her entire life for the Games, and her weapon of choice are throwing knives.

4. Hanna Donnelly from Gemina

Hanna is the female main character from the second book in the Illuminae Files. She may look like a princess and more interested in fashion than working out, but don't let that fool you: Hanna is clever, a great strategist and a skilled fighter.

5. Mia Corvere from Nevernight
Mia is an assassin in training, and she's been waiting to get her revenge for her parents' murder since she was 10. She doesn't back down, and her motto is "Never flinch, never fear, and never ever forget". Enough said.

Of course, there are so many more incredibly skilled characters out there! For today's post I only chose non magical characters (who all turned out to be females, oops) because I just love girls who can kick ass and defend themselves, but there are so many characters with magic powers out there it certainly took a lot of training to master. Who are some characters you'd like to train with (or watch them train)? Do you prefer magic powers or physical fighters?
Happy reading and until next time!
~ Anni
